KNOWLEDGE BEFORE ACTION

Mint DigiDollar in your own wallet

An educational walkthrough of the decision points. This website never connects to your wallet or runs these actions.

Educational information. Core 9.26.5 · reviewed 2026-09-06. Check the latest official release before acting.

Before you start

Use a synchronized, compatible DigiByte Core descriptor wallet with private keys enabled, verified software, a tested backup, sufficient DGB collateral and DGB for fees. Understand the selected lock duration and collateral requirement before proceeding.

Read the current local help for mintdigidollar, estimatecollateral, listdigidollarpositions and getredemptioninfo. These are Core command names, not services offered by DigiDollar Connect.

Amounts and lock tiers need care

The pinned integration guide documents integer amounts in cents: 10000 means 100.00 DigiDollar. Other accepted formats can have different interpretation. Check your installed version’s help; never assume an unlabelled integer is a dollar amount.

Ask your local wallet for a collateral estimate using the exact intended amount and tier, then review its returned collateral requirement and lock period. An estimate is not a guarantee of execution. Dynamic requirements can change.

Review, authorize, verify

Redemption is a separate wallet action after expiry. The documented design does not support early or partial vault redemption. Read current protocol documentation for emergency redemption adjustments and do not rely on a fixed return estimate.

  1. Review the intended mint amount, collateral to lock, lock tier, available fees and destination details in Core. Stop if anything differs from your intention.
  2. Authorize the mint only in your own wallet. Never send DGB to a third-party “minting address” or disclose a private key to an agent.
  3. Inspect the transaction and your resulting vault position in Core. Wait for the confirmations appropriate to your risk.
  4. Keep records of the vault and its expiry. Before later redemption, inspect getredemptioninfo for the current required amount and conditions.
